Irrespective of her past, the Elders will care for any woman coming into the Body of Christ. Observing her sincere and humble walk with the Lord they will guide her, mostly through her husband, into serving the Lord and her blessed role in the Body. God’s Word and the wisdom and anointing He gives His Elders, ensures security and joy for any Christian lady. These comments apply equally to a divorced woman coming to Christ. The Elders will assess her situation and spirit and guide her correctly into joyous service and growth in the Church. A woman alone will look to them as Fathers to the Flock.
Very simply, there is great scope for any woman who is truly born again, filled with the Holy Ghost and in good standing in the Church. As a wife her greatest joy will be realised as she supports her husband in his ministry and raises her children to follow Jesus. In the Church she will be blessed in encouraging the believers, supporting the Elders, caring for sick and aged and generally serving. She will also be a blessing in prayer and Spiritual Gifts. Those who are mature in the Lord have also the privilege of ministering to and guiding the younger women in the Faith.
