My husband, Dave, and I gave our hearts to the Lord in 2007 and we were on fire for God. We had met with God. I can’t speak for myself but Dave’s face was radiant!

We own a trucking company and 2010 was an incredibly trying year financially – we were even without lights for a month. It was awful! The thief had come to rob, steal and destroy our joy! We even grew cold in our hearts towards the Lord. Had it not been for God’s grace I don’t know what I would have done.

Then one day, in His immaculate timing, He intervened!

I was attending a ‘Parents’ Seminar’ at Sarnia. Dave and our son, ??? , were at home working and an amazing thing happened.

A bakkie drove into our driveway and the sun shining on the windscreen made it look like two angels in the cab. Two African men jumped out and said they had been sent by God to drop off some supplies! Dave was dumbfounded and, looking into the back of the bakkie, saw loads of shopping bags and thought they were for a lot of other folk as well.

When the men off-loaded the entire bakkie, Dave and ??? were stunned.  They again asked the men why they had come and where they had come from. They replied that they had come from the Congo on a Mission Trip and that the Lord had given them our specific address to which they were to deliver the food. Then they gave Dave an envelope with a note inside saying, “This is from God. He will never leave you or forsake you.” The envelope also contained R750!

The two men then prayed for God’s blessing on our home, Dave and ??? and were gone as fast as they had arrived.

I arrived home that afternoon to two very humbled, red-eyed men, who had just said good-bye to two “angels sent by God!”

God demonstrated His love towards me and my family that day once again! He will never leave us nor forsake us – even when we drift away from Him. This was the first big step in drawing God’s child back to Himself and I give Him all the glory and all the honour! He is the One Who always reaches out to us in our distress!

Praise His wonderful Name!

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
