Q. Should Christians Participate in Halloween?
A. Halloween, October 31st here are guidelines for next year.
Halloween, with strong roots in paganism, is closely connected with satanic worship. Its celebration generally glorifies dark things of this world, rather than the light of Jesus Christ, the Truth.Have you noticed how costumes and masks are getting generally more bloody, gory, and depraved each year? Unfortunately, the gruesome and grotesque, and the occult, are increasingly glorified in society, not only on Halloween, but throughout the year in horror movies and TV.
We advocate not associating with Halloween. Our children will not miss out; don’t let them ‘play with fire’; there are plenty of good adventures and parties we arrange for them. Halloween provides an excellent time to remind them that, as Christians, we are different, and not of this world (Heb 11:13, 16; 1 Pet. 2:11).
